Range Cooker & AGA Cleaning in Warrington & Cheshire
The range is usually the hardest-working and hardest-worked appliance in the house. Our technicians strip and clean every cavity, the grill, the burners and the extractor hood above it, using a fume-free heated gel bath that leaves the cooker safe to use the same day. AGA and Rayburn heat-storage cookers are cleaned by arrangement.
How We Bring a Range Back
Every cavity is stripped in place: doors, racks, trays and the grill all come out, and around six racks and side rails go into the heated gel bath to soak.
On gas models the burners are stripped and polished with the knobs off, five to eight of them on a typical range, and halogen hobs are cleaned and polished streak free.
The extractor hood and its filters are degreased as part of the job, along with the splashback, because a clogged hood grimes the cooker straight back up.
Everything is reassembled and finished with a protective coating that slows future grease buildup, and the cooker is safe to cook on as soon as we leave.

Yes, by arrangement. Heat-storage cookers need to be switched off in advance so the surfaces are safe to work on, which makes them a specialist booking rather than a same-week job. Send us a photo of your cooker and we will confirm a fixed price and the switch-off timing.
Why do range cookers cost more than a double oven?
Sheer surface area and time. A range is usually the dirtiest appliance we see in any kitchen, because most owners use one cavity until it is baked up and then move to the other. Two or more cavities, a grill, up to eight burners and a wall of racks is about four hours of work.
Is the extractor hood really included?
Yes. A range without a working extractor grimes up twice as fast, so the hood and its filters are cleaned as part of every range job rather than sold as an extra.

Can I use the range straight after the clean?
Yes. We use a fume-free heated gel bath system rather than caustic sprays, so the cooker is safe to use as soon as we leave.
Does the door glass come out of a range cooker?
No, and we will not force it. Standard oven doors are designed so the inner glass lifts out for cleaning; range doors are not, and prising them apart damages the spring mechanism inside. We clean range door glass in place with our gel and gentle heat, which gets the same result without the repair bill.
