Oven Cleaning Prices Explained: Single, Double and Range Cookers

Oven cleaning is the job people put off longest and enjoy most once it is done. It is also a market where prices vary wildly and half the companies will not publish them at all. Ours are simple.
How much is oven cleaning?
- Single oven: £75, or £95 with the hob and hood included
- Double oven: £85, or £110 with the hob and hood included
- Range cooker with halogen hob: £165, cavities, hob polish, extractor hood and filters all included
- Range cooker with gas burners: £185 for the full works, including the hood and four filters, splashback, five to eight burners stripped and polished, knobs off, grill and all racks through the gel bath
- NEFF Slide & Hide: £110 all in. It is always a single oven, the door comes off, and there are four panes of glass plus a mechanism that punishes carelessness
- Microwaves: an integrated microwave adds £30, a freestanding one £10
Every clean follows the same process. We strip the oven down in your kitchen, immerse the racks and side rails in a heated gel bath, degrease the interior and exterior with a professional grade cleaner, then reassemble everything and apply a protective coating that slows future grease buildup.
Why the gel bath matters
Supermarket oven sprays are caustic. They work by being aggressive, which is why the kitchen smells of fumes for hours and the oven needs airing before you can cook. A gel bath system works by soaking instead, so there are no fumes and the oven is safe to use as soon as we leave. It also reaches the corners and rack runners a spray never touches.
How often does an oven need professional cleaning?
With the protective coating and normal use, an oven can go up to three years between professional cleans. In practice many of our customers book annually, usually before Christmas, because a clean oven heats more evenly and a December slot is the first thing our diary runs out of. We are also NEFF approved, so Slide & Hide doors and other premium models are handled properly rather than worked around.
