The Two-Day Block Paving Restoration
Day one: a professional deep treatment goes on and stays on for 24 hours, killing the moss and algae down in the joints rather than just shaving the tops off.
Day two starts with the van-mounted 4000 psi jetwash. It refreshes the top couple of millimetres of the block face, which is why the finish looks freshly laid rather than just rinsed, and all the slurry is scooped up and disposed of properly.
The clean, dry joints are re-sanded with weed-inhibiting kiln-dried sand, restoring the structure that keeps blocks from rocking and edges from creeping.
Two coats of penetrating sealer finish the job. It soaks about 3mm into the block, locks the sand in place, cannot flake or peel, and carries the 3-year guarantee.

Is sealing block paving worth it?
If you want the result to last, yes. Washing alone looks great for a season and then the moss and algae creep back. Why does the full job take two days?
Day one is a professional treatment that kills the moss and algae in the joints, left to work for 24 hours. Day two is the 4000 psi van-mounted wash, slurry removal, re-sanding with weed-inhibiting kiln-dried sand, and two coats of sealer onto a clean, dry surface. Sealing damp paving is how cheap jobs fail.
What kind of sealer do you use?
A penetrating sealer that soaks around 3mm into the block, so it cannot flake or peel. Varnish-type sealers sit on top, look wet for a season, then crack and need stripping. Two coats are standard on every sealed job.
Will weeds come back through the joints?
We are honest about this: seeds blow in, so no company can truthfully guarantee joints stay weed-free forever. What we do guarantee is 3 years against moss and algae regrowth on the sealed surface, and the weed-inhibiting sand plus annual aftercare keep the joints hostile territory.
What are the black spots on my paving, and why won't jet washing remove them?
Black spot is algae that has taken hold of the block itself, and you can jet wash all day without shifting it. Left alone it does real damage: the growth holds moisture, and when that freezes it expands and makes the block surface fragile. Our day-one treatment kills it in the block, which is why the two-day process removes black spot that washing alone never will.
Do you re-sand block paving without sealing?
Yes, that is the Silver package: deep clean plus re-sanding with kiln-dried sand at £10 per square metre. It restores the structure of the paving without the sealed finish, and you can always seal later.
